Recently, I discovered Britt Nicole’s new song “Through His Eyes”. Not only does the beat make you push the repeat button, but the lyrics are beautifully honest. Here’s a sneak peek:

Britt’s right. When we look at ourselves through our eyes or even other people’s eyes we feel overwhelmed, unaccomplished, discouraged, and purposeless. But when we look at ourselves through God’s eyes…..gosh, it is such a beautiful thing.

^ God is your refuge, He provides for you, He loves you with steadfast love. ^

When we look at ourselves through God’s eyes, we are filled with purpose and strength. He lifts our weary heads, He disperses the lies and assures us with the truth. He brings us to life. He wraps us in His arms and doesn’t let go.
